Class Descriptions

BJJ Fundamentals: All Students
Required for all new Gracie Barra Yakima students. A class that explores basic concepts and works to develop fundamental jiu-jitsu skills.

Live Training: White Belt 3 Stripe & Above
This is our comprehensive jiu-jitsu class that covers submissions, sweeps, pins, locks.

Advanced: White Belt 3 Stripe & Above
This class is a medium to high level workout of advanced drills and training for students with a good grasp on the basic concepts. Focuses more on development of endurance and specific sparring situations

No-Gi BJJ: All Students
This class is to teach students how to apply their Jiu Jitsu skills to grappling without the gi. There is also a lot of cardio and conditioning in this class.

Open Mat: All Students
Classes for student directed training and free sparring.

Kid’s BJJ Program: Ages 3 – 15 years old
The kid’s program is a great way to build your child’s confidence, self esteem, motor skills, and fitness level. Classes focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling and are fast paced and technique driven.

Cardio Kickboxing
A great way to get into shape and start learning martial arts!

The Schedule is dynamic and is improved every season (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring) to better fit our students needs.

Private classes can be scheduled during the morning and other times depending on the instructors availability. Students interested in private training can talk to our team members.
